Description:
Small chest of drawers from the North German Biedermeier period around 1835.
Ash veneered on softwood.
Three-bay piece of furniture with rounded pilaster strips typical for the region and feet following the shape of the corpus in the front, as well as block feet in the back.
The lower drawer is slightly protruding.
The furniture front is made without crosspieces, which accentuates the beautiful grain pattern even more.
The mirrored veneer pattern is also found on the sides and top of the chest of drawers.
Key plates inlaid in ebony underline the simplicity of the piece of furniture.
Condition:
Restored condition ready for living, shellac hand polish. Beautiful patina, cover plate minimally thrown. Very authentic piece of furniture.
