Description:
5-sided glazed travelling alarm clock, so-called officer's clock.
Unusual shape with round arch windows in front and sides.
Enamel dial with black hands and blue Arabic numerals.
Signature: Paul Behrens Lübeck.
Paul Behrens is proven to be a watchmaker (Abeler p. 64), but I cannot exclude that the dial of the clock offered here is a dealer's signature.
Pointed escapement, bi-metal balance rim. Ruby anchor pallets. All bearings of the escapement made of ruby, the lower ones with screwed cap jewel plates - also ruby.
Condition: Movement completely cleaned and in perfect working order. Case cleaned and polished. Disc of the right side with chip but not dust permeable.
