Description:
Extremely rare and very quality made make-up mirror from the Second Empire period around 1890.
The round base with a diameter of 16 cm is worked out as a bowl with fine decorations on the bottom, on the rim and on the outside.
The straight shaft leading upwards is also finely decorated, the interplay of bright and matt gilding creates a special tension.
Fixed by two locking screws, the round framed mirror is swivelling in a semicircular holding device.
Condition:
The bronze is newly gilded and in excellent condition. The original mirror glass has become slightly blinded over the decades but is still absolutely usable and worth preserving.
