Description:
Antique weather station, so-called bakbarometer.
The case is made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneered on oak.
High rectangular corpus with cracked pediment, as well as a crowning urn vase in classicistic manner.
Behind the glass pane is the engraved pewter plaque. Temperature and air pressure can be read by the rising and falling of the mercury or alcohol columns in the glass tubes.
Temperature measurement in Fahrenheit and Réaumur. Engravings in Dutch.
Condition: Authentic condition, old restored. Glass tubes and liquid levels intact.
