Description:
Antique travelling clock of the "Capucine" type.
The front view of the clock is dominated by the large dial. We see the hours in black as well as the quarter hours and the date in red letters.
In the centre is the so-called alarm disc. The tip of the hour hand on the back shows the time the alarm is set to.
Below the dial are the two winding holes of the movement and the striking mechanism. The alarm clock is wound by a cord above the case.
The clock chimes on the half and full hour and repeats the hours again at shortly after full time.
The clock is crowned by a large bell with a handle and four pinnacles on the corners.
The sides and back of the clock can be opened by means of full-surface doors to reveal the movement.
