Description:
Four-leaf writing chest with exceptionally vivid veneer design.

A piece of furniture standing on a plinth with a total of four drawers, the two middle ones are designed without traverses (sans travers). They are also decorated with a recessed arched segment framed by a beaded bar all around.
The front of the top drawer can be folded down. This creates a writing surface - the chest of drawers can also be used as a secretary. This is what we call a writing chest or chest of drawers. The writing surface is equipped with a total of six drawers and a central door.

When the writing drawer is closed, we can see the great, extremely grain-strong veneer pattern of the ash wood. Mirrored several times, it runs continuously from the bottom drawer to the top panel.

The rounded pilaster strips lead to the sides of the piece of furniture, which are also carefully veneered. A hollow moulding underneath the top plate picks up the width of the furniture feet and thus ensures a harmonious overall appearance.

Discreet, inlaid keyhole frames made of (ivory) bone.
Original locks, the keys are copied.

Condition:
Restored condition ready for living, shellac hand polish. All drawers run cleanly and smoothly. The locks work perfectly.
