Prague
Walnut
Biedermeier around 1830
Dimensions: H x W x D: 180 x 122 x 50 cm
Description:
Two-door piece of furniture standing on skirted square legs. The doors are of frame construction with one large and one small panel. The lively grain is laid neatly and symmetrically across the entire height of the door. The veneers on the sides also match each other perfectly.
In addition to the cross-veneered pilaster strips and moulding, the headboard design is typical of the Bohemian region of origin. We see the typical Bohemian gallery above the rounded headboard and floral inlays on the upper front corners.
The fields of the door panels are divided by thread inlays.
If we open the doors, we notice the wedges at the top and bottom. By releasing this system, the carcase can be divided into two halves, which is practical for transport through narrow staircases and through narrow doors.
The cabinet is fitted with three shelves. It is also possible to fit a clothes rail. We would be happy to customise the interior according to your personal requirements.
Condition: Restored and polished with shellac.
Price: 4500,-€
