Description:
Writing furniture standing on typical classicist pointed legs.
Walnut, maple and burl veneered on spruce.

Finely carved, all-round wickerwork band below the drawers. Rosettes at the corners.
9-drawer furniture front with a beautifully carved knee recess, also from the inside. Two recessed drawers in the knee hole.
The drawer fronts are artistically designed and divided into geometric surfaces by fine marquetry.

The top is formed by a beautifully designed cylinder latch in the typical manner of the braid style. Floral inlays and a visually impressive cube marquetry are highlights of this piece of furniture.
When the writing surface is pulled out, the cylinder opens to reveal the simple four-bay interior. The fronts of the interior drawers are made of solid cherry wood. Two of the drawers were reconstructed in an older restoration.

The original locks and keyhole surrounds sawn from brass complete the picture of this fantastic piece of furniture.

Condition:
Refurbished condition ready for living. The cylinder lock and also all drawers run perfectly. The locks work. Original locks and fittings. Completed keys. Two of the drawers were reconstructed in an older restoration, well done in terms of craftsmanship, you can see this clearly in one of the photos.
The surface has been polished with satin shellac.
