Exceptional folding table with numerous variation options. Designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in the 1970s.

When closed, the table measures just H x W x D: 72 x 19 x 51 cm, making it compact and easy to transport. The castors on the underside make it easy to handle. For example, it can be easily pushed out of the house onto the patio.
With the four-part table top, the piece of furniture is suitable as a corner table, half table or as a round dining table with a diameter of 101 cm.

Giancarlo Piretti is an Italian designer and interior architect. He was born in Bologna in 1940 and still lives there today. After studying drawing at the Art Institute in Bologna, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna from 1960. From 1963 to 1970, he taught interior design at the Art Institute Bologna.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Piretti also worked for the design company Castelli, for which he designed aesthetic and functional furniture. He received the IBD gold medal in 1971 for the "Plano" table offered here.

Condition:
Stable condition with signs of age and use. If you prefer it clean, you can clean the frame and polish the top.
