This modern floor lamp of impressive size is attributed to Henri Fernandez (France, born 1946). A trained sculptor with a background in metallurgy, Fernandez brings a unique expertise to his metalwork. His favoured materials are steel, brass and copper, some of which are beautifully showcased in this impressive sculptural lamp.

The lamp consists of three eye-catching blooming flowers with carefully crafted petals that fold outwards to reveal the silver-plated bulbs at the top as a stigma. The petals are made of brass and silver-plated brass, creating a sophisticated two-tone effect. The interplay between the matt surface of the petals and the shimmering, reflective stigmas enhances the visual appeal of the lamp. When switched on, the piece comes to life - the light radiates from the spheres and emphasises the sculptural details of the petals.

Slender brass stems extend downwards from the flower heads and end in a group of leaves folded outwards, standing on a round base. The entire composition is mounted on a square black plinth, which forms a solid base.

Although Fernandez's works are often unsigned, they can be easily identified by their distinctive style and masterful execution. His exceptional craftsmanship is evident in the lifelike modelling of the flowers, which convey a certain degree of both delicacy and realism.

The size and artistic design of the lamp make it a fascinating addition to any interior, be it residential or commercial.

Very nice condition of metal and base. There are no significant knocks.
The lamp is fully functional with the old and probably original wiring, but we recommend having the electrics professionally checked due to its age.
