Workshop Josef Seiler in Liegnitz
Oak
1920s

Dimensions: Height 79 cm, diameter 120 cm - 170 cm

Description:
This extraordinary dining table from the 1920s has the rare ability to increase its diameter.
With this absolutely rare and well thought-out system, the frame is first turned down using a thread. Eight segments that fit around the table can then be turned out.
The table stands on an octagonal base that supports a column built on a fluted frieze. The wood used is oak, partly solid and partly veneered.

There is a branded patent stamp on the underside of the table:
Josef Seiler, Liegnitzer Ringtisch D.R.P.

Josef Seiler ran a furniture workshop in Liegnitz, now in Poland, which at the time belonged to Silesia. He developed and patented the mechanism of the table shown here in the 1920s and had it registered as a German Imperial Patent D.R.P.. The piece of furniture was produced in various sizes in small series.

Condition:
Refurbished, authentic and suitable for everyday use with a beautiful age patina.
The surface is oiled. The gap from ring to plate is not exactly the same in all places, but varies approximately from 1-6 mm.

Price: 5500,-€
