Description:
Beautiful pair of candlesticks from the so-called Epoque Charles X around 1840-1850.
Tripod with lion paws and acanthus foliage on a three-sided moulded base. The patinated shaft contrasts beautifully with the warm colour of the gold. The candle holder with a loose spout typical of the period is decorated with fine foliage and tendrils.
Condition:
Excellent condition. Newly gilded, newly patinated.
