Antique travel toilet bag

Description:
Rectangular walnut box with finely engraved key plate and brass lid cartouche.

Inside we see a mirror in the lid, which can be opened via a hidden mechanism to reveal a felt-covered work surface.
The interior consists of a total of 9 small bottles and flasks of various sizes for creams, perfumes and the like. There are also two lidded caskets. All of the lids are silver plated, the silver plating on the back three is heavily rubbed.
The front part of the interior can be removed, opening a larger compartment.
A pin inserted into the side releases the latch on one drawer, which is held under tension by a spring and then pops out automatically.

Condition:
Restored condition. The lock and drawer function perfectly. The wood has been polished with shellac. There is some rubbing on some of the silver plated lids.
