Description:
Antique secretary with exceptionally beautiful interior. The width of 113 cm are measured at the top, in the body it has 101 cm.

The piece of furniture stands on a plinth with three drawers at the bottom, the writing flap above and a head drawer below the cornice.
Expressive grain pattern laid in beautiful symmetry with brightly contrasting key escutcheons.
The rounded pilaster strips and the bulging head are typical of the late Biedermeier period.

The fold-down writing surface conceals a spectacular interior with a central compartment mirrored on the back and parquetry on the bottom. The compartment ends in a round arch at the top and has a drawer at the bottom designed as a staircase. There is a secret compartment under the staircase.
The three drawers at the bottom are veneered in birch burl. Above that, on the outside, there are three drawers on top of each other in walnut as well as letter compartments with hidden drawers behind.
The ebonised handles harmonise excellently with the half columns, also in black, which are characteristic of the overall architectural impression of the interior.

Condition:
Refurbished, suitable for everyday use and absolutely authentic condition. Original locks, keys and mirror.
