Description:
French Regence chest of drawers in the typical Mazarine shape.
A three-tiered piece of furniture with striking, strongly curved corner legs.
The drawers have a gentle double curve and are each divided into two sections by geometric marquetry. Wide ebony inlays, accentuated by maple thread inlays, form the frames for the gilded handles typical of the style.
Large diamond-shaped inlays dominate the sides.
On the top panel, we see winding and intertwined ribbon work on a walnut and olive wood base.
Wonderful, warm colour tone.
Condition: Restored and suitable for everyday use.
