Dimensions: H x W x D: approx. 70-110 x 80 x 40 cm

Description:
Quite exceptional console table with rich, typical Dutch floral marquetry.

When folded, we see a console table standing on an octagonal central foot with four ornately carved legs extending from the central foot.
A tableau can now be moved downwards by releasing a catch attached to the underside. In the next step, the top of the console is lifted and pulled upwards. The result is now an etagere with three levels, whose top plate can be folded up and thus becomes a square play table.
The playing surface is covered with the original felt.

The beautifully executed marquetry is impressive.
There is inlay work in floral form on the centre foot as well as on the individual tier boards and the hinged playing field.
On the top plate we also see marquetry in the typical design style popular in the late 18th century. Garlands, festoons and urn vases.
When opened, there are additional design elements in the form of playing cards inlaid in marquetry technique.

Condition: Restored, absolutely authentic condition. Shellac polish. Original fabric covering.

Price:
This piece of furniture has already been sold. Comparable objects in quality and condition in the German art and antique trade are around 4000,-€ to 5000,-€.
