Description:
High quality pair of classic Empire armchairs.
The turned and carved armrests, which merge into S-shaped curved backrests, are supported by posts in the shape of monopodia with paw feet and lion heads. The rear legs are flared in a sabre shape.
Apart from the veneered frames, the armchairs are made entirely of solid mahogany and are very solid and clean.
Condition:
Restored condition.
The original leather covers were carefully removed in the course of the restoration, reupholstered where necessary and reapplied to the upholstery, the old wooden surface was refreshed with a wax shellac polish.
