Points of interest:
Walnut is an exciting wood and enjoyed great popularity especially in the South German Biedermeier period. There are great differences between the growing regions, their climatic conditions and also between the individual areas within the trunk.
The structure ranges from simple straight lines to wild and lively. The colour is also absolutely interesting and can go from light reddish to dark brown. The sapwood and heartwood are strongly contrasting in colour.
