Description: Painting with integrated clock
Depicted is a figure scenery with horse-drawn carts in front of a two-towered church. The enamelled clock face is embedded in the tower.
The picture can be opened upwards to access the clock and striking mechanism.
Eight-day movement with pendulum on thread suspension. Striking mechanism with lock disc. Strike on spiral on the half and full hour. In addition, the Angelus chimes at 12-hour intervals.
Movement, striking mechanism and Angelus chime are wound by means of a square key.
Condition:
Restored condition, movement cleaned and overhauled, painting cleaned. Cut-out of the canvas around the opening for the dial duplicated.
