Burl wood
Biedermeier around 1835
Dimensions: H x W x D: 96 x 125 x 53 cm, seat height: 50 cm
Description:
Antique bench for two people. Due to the high seat and firm upholstery, the bench is well suited as dining table seating.
The side view shows broadly veneered, extravagant side frames with flared legs. As is typical of the region, the individual construction parts of the legs and frame merge together due to the full-surface veneering.
The same type of full-surface veneering can also be seen on the armrests, which end in volutes. The wooden backrest is also attractively finished on the back so that the piece of furniture can be placed anywhere in the room.
Condition:
Refurbished condition. Newly upholstered. The shellac polish gives the burl veneer a beautiful colour and "depth".
Price: 2700,- €
