Antique Biedermeier display cabinet with drawers

Description:
Antique Biedermeier bookcase with three wide drawers in the lower section, above which are two glazed doors and a stepped top section featuring a narrow Schinkel gable and a drawer matching its width.

The block feet, which follow the shape of the body, are just as characteristic of the style as the drawers, which protrude slightly beyond the depth of the body, and the striking crossbars.
The light-coloured key escutcheons provide subtle accents against the simple grain pattern of the birch wood. The interior of the display section is also finished in a light colour.
The four glass panes are antique and display a characteristic, slightly wavy texture, which can be clearly seen in the accompanying video.

The three-part top section, consisting of the two stepped side sections and the central section with a drawer, is removable. This reduces the overall height of the piece to around 170 cm.

Condition:
Restored and suitable for everyday use. Hand-polished with shellac.
