Description:
Exceptional bookcase with interior drawers.
Two-door piece of furniture standing on block feet. The lower door panels are veneered in walnut, the upper three panels are each glazed, one of which is decorated with an elaborate lattice.
The key plates in the form of coats of arms, as well as the outer edge of the pilaster strips, are inlaid in solid ebony.
A moulding at the head of the piece of furniture, as well as the cupboard compartments inside, are ebonised.
Inside the cabinet we find three shelves. Below the bottom board, there are four narrow and two wide drawers.
The first class choice of veneer and the excellent workmanship of this piece of furniture reflect the great skill of the master craftsmen of the Biedermeier period.
Condition:
Restored condition ready for living. Shellac hand polish. Beautiful patina.
