Description:
Square base supported on castors. On top the column supporting the top.
Cover plate with mahogany veneer on the outside.
Oil painting on rough canvas integrated into the top.
Depicting Napoleon on horseback in front of a village backdrop in a round medallion.
The central motif is surrounded by a frieze of plants and flowers. This in turn is surrounded by a floral wave frieze and an egg bar frieze.
Tables with integrated painting are absolutely rare and hard to find. A few models with painting on iron plates are known from Berlin and Leipzig.
