Description:
Very richly inlaid and marked piece of furniture.
Three-piece base. Curved legs with so-called leg shoulder inlay.
Also finely inlaid is the baluster foot with fillet band of maple and fruitwood.
Marked top edge.
Table top with fine geometric marquetry around the central chess field.
Condition:
Restored to living room standard. Shellac polish. Without pieces.

Interesting facts:
The town of Sorrento near Naples was famous for its woodworking workshops in the mid-19th century. This table is absolutely typical for the area.
