Absolutely rare antique duet piano bench from England.
On four pointed legs with H-bracing standing, wheeled piece of furniture.
Bright contrasting thread inlays on all sides as well as fine marquetry on the side handles and in the front frame.
The two seats can be adjusted in height by means of a cogwheel and chain system. The "Triumph patent", which is over 100 years old, still works perfectly today. It is impressive to see how solidly the iron technology is worked, with which the rather filigree piece of furniture is handled.
On the underside is a plaque from the renowned London furniture workshop "James Schoolbred & Co London". Schoolbred was one of the most important English furniture makers of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
