Description:
Beautiful and well-proportioned chest of drawers from the Central German Baroque period.
A three-tiered piece of furniture standing on round pinch feet.
The front is discreetly curved in two directions, the sides are straight, the top follows the shape of the body. The skirting board and the edge of the top are made of end grain wood, typical of the period.
The front, sides and top are veneered in calmly grained walnut on the outside. Curved and fire-shaded inlays of light-coloured maple are set off by panels of walnut burl laid in a diagonal checkerboard pattern.
Condition: Fully restored and suitable for everyday use.
