Description:
Two identical cabinets made as a pair from the Bohemian Biedermeier period around 1830-1835.

Single-door pieces of furniture standing on socketed square feet. The doors are made in frame and panel construction with one large and one small panel each. The grain is neatly and symmetrically laid from the base to the cornice. The veneers of both pieces of furniture are matched to each other.

Typical of the region of origin, Bohemia, is not only the cross-veneered pilaster strips divided by thread inlays, but above all the headboard concept. Thus we see the typical Bohemian gallery above the headboard roundings and a typical Prague fan motif on the front upper corners.
Due to the low height, the tops of the cabinets are also cleanly veneered.

Both cabinets are fitted with the original toothed rails on the inside, which ensure that the height of the shelves can be adjusted. In one cabinet there are three shelves, in the other one shelf and one bar. Shelves could easily be added as needed.

Condition: Cleanly refurbished and polished with shellac.
