Description:
Dainty French lady's desk on square legs tapering downwards in brass sabots.
Rosewood and various other precious woods.
The frame contains a wide drawer, above it is the folding writing surface covered with (original) leather on the inside.
The back is fitted with doors on the right and left and a central open compartment with a drawer underneath. Behind the doors are two smaller drawers.
The legs are cross-veneered. The marquetry depicts vases, flowers and scientific instruments.
The back is also veneered and polished - the piece of furniture can therefore be freely placed in the room.
Condition: Refinished condition, shellac polish.
