Description:
Exceptionally delicate writing desk in the form of a chest of drawers-like base and a mirrored top.

The body of the furniture rests on plinth-mounted square feet, on which half-columns with gilded bases and finely chiselled capitals rest. These flank the two lower drawers, which are veneered with carefully selected mahogany in perfect mirror image.
The drawer above is designed as a writing compartment with a hinged front, leather-covered work surface and three further small drawers.

At the back of the chest of drawers is an attachment with two mirrored doors and two further drawers. The design of the half-columns is similar to that of the lower section.
The original, slightly aged mirror glass contributes significantly to the authentic appearance of the piece of furniture.

The upper end is formed by a loose slab of Belgian granite.

Condition:
Refurbished and suitable for everyday use with a shellac polished surface.
